Last night at Level-5’s Vision 2016 event, Level-5 announced the next project in their long-running football RPG series Inazuma Eleven, known as Inazuma Eleven Ares.
The next title in the series is yet another Level-5 cross media project, meaning not only will we get a new Inazuma Eleven game, but there will also be a new anime based on the title.
Inazuma Eleven Ares is set in a parallel world and will take place after the events of the first title, as well as featuring three protagonists.
Level-5 announced that the anime will be released next summer in Japan, and will be accompanied by a series of ‘locker room’ shorts which will be released online.
As for the game itself, we received very few details, with no gameplay footage, no announced release platforms and no release window.
However, Level-5 did announce that the game will work with a new device known as the ‘Eleven Band’. Players will use the device to level up a chosen’s players stats by walking and running.
Whilst nothing official was announced about the game, given the series history, it is fairly safe to assume the title will be released on 3DS, and it can be expected the game will release soon after the anime premieres next year.
