Famitsu shared last week what the best selling games of June 2016 were in Japan, see the rankings below;

30) Project Cars: Perfect Edition for PlayStation 4, with 12, 187 units sold.

29) Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for the Nintendo 3DS, with 13, 612 units sold.

28) Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition for PlayStation 4, with 13, 867 units sold. It’s interesting to note around half of the units sold in June were from the retail version, and the other half were from the game’s digital version.

27) Powerful Pro Baseball 2016 for PlayStation Vita, with 13, 909 units sold. It’s interesting to note that around half of this games sales in June were from the digital release.

26) Hakuoki: Shinkai Hana no Shou for PlayStation Vita, with 14, 595 units sold.

25) Powerful Pro Baseball 2016 for PlayStation 4, with 14, 828 units sold.

24) Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for PlayStation 4, with 15, 864 units sold.

23) Yokai Sangokushi for the Nintendo 3DS, with 17, 855 units sold.

22) Battleminer for the Nintendo 3DS, with 18, 579 units sold. It’s interesting to note that these are all digital sales, no retail version was released in Japan.

21) Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo WiiU, with 19, 750 units sold.

20) Splatoon for the Nintendo WiiU, with 20, 784 units sold.

19) Labyrinth and the Coven of Refrain for PlayStation Vita, with 22, 207 units sold. It’s interesting to note that just over 6, 500 of the units sold in June were from the game’s digital release.

18) Mario and Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for the Nintendo WiiU, with 22, 294 units sold.

17) The Battle Cats POP! for the Nintendo 3DS, with 22, 435 units sold. It’s interesting to note that this is made up entirely of digital sales, as there was no retail release in Japan.

16) Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition for PlayStation Vita, with 22, 608 units sold.

15) Umberella Corps for PlayStation 4, with 24, 433 units sold. It’s interesting to note that the digital release of Umberella Corps outsold the retail release by around a thousand copies.

14) Minecraft: WiiU Edition for the Nintendo WiiU, with 29, 027 units sold.

13) Caligula for PlayStation Vita, with 30, 994 units sold.

12) Battlefield Hardline’s EA Best Hits release for PlayStation 4, with 31, 455 units sold. It’s interesting to note the game sold literally 76 physical copies in June, mending it sold over 31, 000 digital copies throughout the month.

11) Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone for PlayStation 4, with 34, 900 units sold. It’s important to note that this is made up entirely of digital sales, as there were no retail copies of the game available in Japan.

10) Kirby: Planet Robobot for the Nintendo 3DS, with 37, 843 units sold.

9) Pokemon Red/Green/Blue for the Nintendo 3DS, with 40, 815 units sold. It’s interesting to note that, even though it’s a Virtual Console release, the retail copy outsold the digital version.

8) Dragon Quest Heroes II for PlayStation 3, with 41, 635 units sold.

7) Battlefield 4 for PlayStation 4, with 50, 785 units sold. This one genuinely blows my mind, not a single retail copy was sold in June meaning all 50, 000+ units were sold digitally.

6) Overwatch for PlayStation 4, with 54, 865 units sold. The game nearly sold 10, 000 copies digitally throughout June.

5) Taiko the Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure for the Nintendo 3Ds, with 56, 346 units sold.

4) Dragon Quest Heroes II for PlayStation Vita, with 78, 867 units sold.

2) Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns for the Nintendo 3DS, with 123, 774 units sold. The game sold over 13, 000 units digitally throughout the month of June.

1) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice for the Nintendo 3DS, with 255, 406 units sold. The game sold nearly 17, 000 units digitally in June.
